I am currently running Linux Mint 8 "Helena" and HardInfo 0.5.1 downloaded tonight from the HardInfo website.

Unfortunately, though the benchmarks seem to work just fine, the Network Update fails at "Receive benchmark results". This implies, of course, that the upload worked fine, which leaves me rather puzzled as to why it failed.

Seems to be a great program, though.

I took a look at my syslog, and discovered the following appears each time I try and download the benchmarks.

Nov 27 22:42:17 Ian-LM8 wpa_supplicant[1195]: CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-RESULTS

Don't know if that helps...

I'll investigate this and keep you posted.

(I don't believe that wpa-supplicant might be the problem here; does the message also show when HardInfo isn't running?)

Sorry for the late reply.

The message message doesn't show when HardInfo isn't running. Go figure.

I was able to reproduce this on a VM; will try to fix it ASAP.

Okay, sounds good. Happy Holidays!

Sometimes, by trying to receive the benchmark results again at a later time, it works. My guess is that this isn't a problem in HardInfo, but somewhere in the remote server: the current code isn't scaling well and is giving timeouts, I'll need to rewrite certain things over there. It should be fixed by tomorrow.

Receiving the benchmark results should not give any timeout anymore; it is much, much faster now. Please try again and see if it still shows the problem for you, as it seems to be fixed here.

I'm closing this bug as there was no response and caching improved the performance considerably.
